After battling a slow Internet and spending too much of the morning on the computer getting work done, we again became Memphis tourists.  First stop was the Memphis Music Hall of Fame.  Here you can hear the music created by the inductees and hear their stories from those who knew them as well as in their own words.

From there we went to the Rock 'n Soul Museum.  This wonderful museum tells the complete story of Memphis music as researched by the Smithsonian museum. It includes many exhibits from early days such as this Seeburg jukebox

or this transmitter from the Grand Ole Opry

and a hand-crank turn table

A Wurlitzer jukebox

Original lyrics from Johnnie Cash

Jerry Lee's caddie
and musical instruments from Isaac Hayes, Booker T and Ike Turner

We could easily have spent 3-4 hours here.  I encourage anyone coming to the area to make this a destination.

Today we leave Tennessee for Helena Arkansas.
